The Gordy house is always noisy, and chaotic, with explosions of joy, laughter, and creativity in every corner! Kira is about to finish her first year of high school, like a real school, in a building, with teachers not called Mom. This year, she played on the basketball, field hockey, and rugby teams. The others are all homeschooling, but still play sports at Kira's school. Ezra, 13, just finished War and Peace and surprised us by making the varsity high school rugby team.
Ezra is finishing 6th grade and loves building stuff and playing rugby. Wyatt is finishing 4th grade and is our resident comedian (pictured above with his tongue out).
Elsie, age 7, is working on her first novel in the adult fiction category. The twins, Ava and Lily, age 6, like to work on their survival skills which entails chopping up carrots and bringing them to the front yard with some beach towels and an umbrella. Emsley is 2 and gets all the attention, she is full of joy and makes us all happy. She likes to pretend that Ava, Lily, and Elsie are her babies and calls them "sweetie pie."
Pray for the kids as we transition back to Winston-Salem this summer for a season of fundraising. Pray that we will be able to raise all of our funding in 100 days so we can get back to Kenya by the time school starts in August.
