New Years in the Middle East

We just got back from a two-week sharing and training trip to the Middle East. Another family from Memphis joined us for this trip. This is the second trip Joey has made to this country. The first time he met with a South Asian church and asked them, "how can we best support you to reach the Muslims all around you," they answered, "come back and teach us how to share the Gospel, but don't just teach us, go out with us and show us how to do it." So, we went back as a family this Christmas and did just what they asked. They directed us to other churches who wanted the same thing as well, and we got lots of time out in the harvest sharing. Together, our families shared with 38 Muslims and trained 105 believers from India and Nepal in a simple tool for sharing their faith. One of the South Asian brothers is planning on coming to Nairobi to spend some time learning the missionary task with us. Our kids enjoyed this country so much, they all said they wanted to move there! When we left, Elsie cried. Thank you all so much for your prayers as we ventured into the Muslim world.
